Fletcher Magellan is a sometimes two, sometimes ten-piece cosmic country band from Minneapolis. “Fletch” draws influence, instruments, and imagery from gospel, R&B, and psychedelic rock, as well as both kinds of music (country and western). Saxophones, steel guitars, and Samsonite suitcases are but a few of the music makers you might trip over onstage at a show.
Fletcher Magellan was formed in late 2015 by producer and songwriter Cody Fitzpatrick. In early 2016, they released their debut album Became A Stranger to a sold-out crowd at Reverie Cafe + Bar. Fletch has stayed busy since then, touring the southern US, performing locally in the Twin Cities, and playing the Kantishna Music Festival in Denali National Park, Alaska. In February 2017, Fletcher Magellan released more new music, a vinyl single, at a concert at Icehouse.
